[Plugin: Liveblog] Feature Request: Ending the live blog

Would it be possible to close the live blog after the event and leave the blog post as the completed item with the snippets in chronological order (oldest at top) to allow future visitors to be able to read it without having to start bottom up?
If I untick the “This is a live blog” the live bit is removed.
