    What plugin version and wordpress version are you using? also, please make sure you refreshed the page if you just added the countdown timer in the sidebar.

    I’m using the latest of both. Have refreshed repeatedly. When going back to the widget’s settings page the previously set date field is not saved.

    You might have another plugin interfering with it. Disable some of the plugins you have and see if it works then(but be careful as some will lose their settings. I don’t want to be responsible for you loosing any data. so before you do anything, be sure you know what you’re doing). if it works, it meens one of the plugins is creating the problem. Also make sure to update to the latest version of the plugin. I just released an update. 3.0.0.2
    Let me know how it goes.

    Just installed your 3.0.0.2 update, at least now the background picture is showing with the word “DAYS” but only two dashes — where the number should be.

    It is not saving the date to the database, or if it is, it’s not retrieving it.

    Sorry but I can’t go disabling plugins. I’ll leave the widget active for a while if you want to see it.

    I did not get to the website in time but that is the way it works if you add the widget and save it. There’s something in ghe admin panel interfeering with the plugin. you can add the date in the date section manually like so: year/month/day hour:minute:seconds

    Example: 2011/12/18 12:23:01

    Please check your plugins and your theme.

    But you know we can’t add the date manually because when you click in that field the date picker pops up!

    By the way, it’s still there on my site, I’m going to try getting to the field in the database. Wish me luck!

    I contacted you on twitter. Can I help? how can we talk faster?

    The database seems to be getting updated correctly. However, this is the code written to the page…

    <input type="hidden" class="lct_datetime" value="// :00" />

    Very weird! I can’t imagine what the problem could be
