[Plugin: Link Library] Reciprocal Link Checker

  • When I run the Reciprocal Link Checker I get the error below. Does anyone have any ideas what may be the cause and how to fix it?

    Can you please try upgrading to the latest version of Link Library. Should be corrected now.

    Just upgraded to Version 5.4.9.2.

    When I run the Reciprocal Link Checker I still get the error below.

    Internal Server Error

    The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

    More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

    When I check the logs I see

    [Wed Aug 15 11:26:01 2012] [warn] [client x.x.x.x] mod_fcgid: read data timeout in 31 seconds, referer: https://mysite/wp-admin/admin.php?page=link-library-reciprocal
    [Wed Aug 15 11:26:01 2012] [error] [client x.x.x.x] Premature end of script headers: admin.php, referer: https://mysite/wp-admin/admin.php?page=link-library-reciprocal

    The reciprocal link checker uses the file_get_contents PHP function to retrieve content from remote sites. This function is not always permitted on all web servers. Perhaps your web host is one that does not allow this functionality. Could you check with your web hosting company’s support if that is the case?

    Hi Yannick

    The function is on on my server

    PHP Allow URL fopen: On

    but I was wondering if the function is off on the server where the link checker is checking what happens does it crash out or just move on to the next link?
