[Plugin: Limit Login Attempts] An attacker got locked out for 20 minutes, what is my next step?

  • Hi thank you for your help. I just got an email saying there was an unsuccessful attack (x4), a lockout and I got the IP the attack came from.
    What should I do next, should I block the IP forever? How?

    I’m not asking about choosing password/username etc. just about the attacker, how do I keep them from trying?

    be happy that your plugin actually stopped the attacker ??

    ya.. you don’t actually have to do anything. You can simply leave it. IP address the attacker used may not be truly his. So if you block it, it might actually do damage for you, unless you truly don’t want that IP
