Unfortunately, this plugin leaves traces in our wordpress theme/files after deletion. How do we get rid of them? We confirmed this using Pingdom Tools. WPDBSpringClean and WP Optimize were not able to do so. Not good.

You’ll have to deactivate the plugin from the Plugins page and click “Deactivate” under the ImageEngine plugin. If you don’t do that, and just delete the files, the database will still contain information that may make trouble for you.

@scientiamobile: That’s exactly what we did. We first deactivated, then deleted the plugin, followed by purging our cache. Still, the files remained in our database (or linked to your website). Please review and fix your code. Bad!

In that case there has been an additional WP plugin or CDN caching the images and/or the markup.

As stated above, we deleted all cache (plugins, CDN, and browser) after deleting your plugin. Problem remained because your associated plugin website hotlinked to our images. We took care of that ??
