I just tested again gmail smtp and it works for my account, please, try this values:

Host SMTP: smtp.gmail.com
Port SMTP: 587
SMTP User: [email protected]
SMTP Secure: TLS

Tell me if it works.

PD: Look the submit limits of gmail if you have much subscribers:
