Plugin kills TITLE Tags in IMGs

    Hello again.

    I ran into a strange Issue while developing a Site with IIP and the Avada Theme:

    Trying to find out why the TITLE in IMGs is completely gone (although I filled in the Box in Media) I deactivated all Plugins one-by-one. When IIP is deactivated, the TITLE Tag comes back. When it is activated, it is gone, there is only “alt_text” where there should be “alt_text”

    Do you have any Idea what is wrong here?

    Are you sure you’re seeing the title attribute when the plugin is disabled? I just did a test and I don’t see it whether the plugin is enabled or disabled.

    I also read that the title attribute was removed way back in WP 3.5. There are even plugins to re-enable it.

    I tried another test where I manually added the title attribute to an image tag and then included that page. The title attribute carried through and wasn’t removed.

    From what I’ve written am I understanding your issue? Or am I testing the wrong thing?

    Hello again,

    I tried again, and it is still the same…no title attribute when the plugin is active.

    I have a custom function to add the title whenever it is missing…it filters the_content. This custom function seems to be out of order when the plugin is active, but not for every image…it seems to work for the images of included paes but not for the images in the parent page.

    I’ll test again later…

    Hello,

    sorry, I was lost in work and forgot to reply.

    After I reported the problem and received the answer from you, I tried again to get the title tags (back) with plugin enabked…id did not work. With the plugin disabled the title tags were back to where they should be.

    Because we like your plugin very much we don’t want to go without it :-), so i have written a function hooked into the_content that str_replaces the page title to all images without title tag or with an empty title tag.
