• I have a site with a lot of large full page screenshots of web pages. When try to watermark these I get a little error at the top citing an unknown problem with a specific file. It also stops the entire watermarking process at 103 images. When I removed the image causing the problem the process got stuck at 104 images citing a problem with the next image.

How do I force Easy Watermark to skip these images and resume the scan automatically with the next image?

At the going rate I would be better off spending my time trying a different plugin and then writing a review recommending it instead.

NOTE: The screenshots in question are exceptionally long. Some might have dimensions like 10000px high by 800px wide.

Please add a resume feature. There is no excuse for requiring the script to run until completion without error in order to complete the process. From now on you need to save progress on error and give the user an option to skip.

Better yet, enable a global option to only watermark images that don’t result in an error and continue to the next one automatically.

Without a resume feature this plugin is doomed to failure on large sites. Whenever a site is so large that plugins like this one take so long to run that the likelihood of the server crashing before it is finished is near zero then the plugin might as well be completely useless.

I have run into this problem with other plugin. Plugins that only work on small sites and by small I mean less than 50,000 posts.

The site I am trying to use this plugin on has only 900 images but barely gets past 100 before I am prompted to try again.

If I had 1,000,000 would I have to run the script using WP-CLI and if so how long would it take. If it would take more than three days I argue that your plugin should have big warning label on it because the likelihood of most people’s servers not crashing at all over three days is slim to none.
