doesn’t seem to work at all. May be something to do with my theme. I’m using a professional theme which makes use of a lot of jquery already.

    Hi,
yeah, most of the time problems with jQuery plugins come from another plugin or the theme.
I could take a look at your site if you want to.
    Cheers,
    Arne

I’m trying to get it working as well – doesn’t seem to want to do what I’d like.

Would you be willing to take a look at mine, Arne? I’d be grateful.

    Thanks so much,
    John

    Hi,
sure, just tell me the URL to the site and I’ll take a look at it.
    Cheers,
    Arne

Thanks, Arne — I really appreciate you taking the time.

    the URL is: https://www.johntegan.com

It’s my own portfolio site, and would I’d like to do is have the Tinytips pop when you rollover the thumbnail images of the films I’ve worked on/created – giving a brief description of each one and my role in it. Then when you click on the thumbnail it would load the corresponding video clip.

Let me know what else you need from me!

    Thanks again,
    John

    Hi John,
it seems that the plugin isn’t active on that site. Are you sure you gave me the right URL?

Also: The JavaScript on that site is a mess, there are two different jQuery libraries loaded, one by the theme (and that’s not the one included by WordPress, an absolute no-go) and one by some other plugin (that one is actually the right one). I’ll guess that some stuff isn’t working as it should be.
That’s probably the reason why my plugin also isn’t working (if it’s activated).
    Cheers,
    Arne

    Hi Arne,

Yeah – my bad. I had been trying to work with a different tool tip utility, but decided to ultimately go back to tinytips because I liked the look of it much better.

Anyway, I put it back in – and it kinda works. For instance, if you go to the portfolio page and hover over the first 3 thumbnails you will see tinytips pop up and show the name of each film. I was actually testing it on the ABOUT page, so that’s the page you’ll want to check out (I have a thumbnail at the bottom of that one for testing purposes).

Question – the tinytips appear right in the middle of the thumbnail, which means if you hover there the tinytip will disappear rather quickly. How do you set it up to make the tinytip appear over the top of the thumbnail (much like in your demos)? That would be the ideal situation.

Arne, thanks again for your help! Look forward to hearing back from you.

Here’s the link to my site again: https://www.johntegan.com

    Hey Arne ..

I’m still working with trying to get the tinytip to appear above the thumbnail – and if you check out the ABOUT page now you will see that it works in the b&w image with the gang members just fine. I still can’t get it to work with the thumbnail image at the bottom of the page, however.

Any suggestions? Thanks again for all your help!

    Hi John,
sorry for the delay, I just got around to taking a look at your site.

On my site, I had the exact same problem.
Adding the CSS style “display: block” to images fixed that.

    Cheers,
    Arne

    Arne,

You, sir, are a genius! That worked perfectly.

Thanks so much for all your help! GREATLY appreciated!
