• Following the release of jQuery 1.0, I am releasing a plugin for jquery to allow compatibility with other developers’ plugins.

Rather than doing funky cool things on its own, this plugin doesn’t do anything, instead, allowing others to write plugins using jQuery, without having to worry about users having multiple versions of it on their site.

By having one plugin for the jQuery file, and another for the different plugins, developers are freed from the constraints of having to worry about compatibility – as long as it’s compatible with the latest plugin version, there’s no problem!

  • Dan,

This looks pretty slick… will have to try it out.

I’ve put a couple of examples of what you can do on the site, on the same page as the one above. This will give you a really quick and basic idea of what can be done.
