[Plugin: jQuery Colorbox] showing more than the title of the photos

  • I am using colorbox with the NextGen gallery.

    I would like to display more than the title of the photos, in the colorbox-window. In the nextgen gallery, I have the possibility to enter, for each photo, a “title/alt” text and a “description” text.
    Colorbox shows just the “title”. In case the title is long, it won’t be automatically formatted on two lines.

    Is there any theme for colorbox that does this? (displaying more text on two or more lines, for each photo).
    How can I customise a theme, in order to be able to show more lines of thext, with title and description?

  • Hi,
    since the size of the Colorbox is not known before showing the picture, there is no way to configure showing the title in two or more lines.
    Most probably it would be possible to do that on-the-fly using JavaScript by modifying the Colorbox JavaScript library, but I can’t help you with that.

    we want to display description of the image i.e. long info. 2 or more lines

    in nextgen gallery can we modify the theme/code to display “description” below the thumbnail of image ?
    ( some space under thumbnail to display description )

    I have seen a site where the author put a <br /> into the title of the image.
    I.e. First line<br />second line then gets rendered as

    First line
second line

    .
    At least for a few themes that should work.
