[Plugin: Jetpack] Jetpack takes 7 seconds to load

  • A WP site of mine started taking several seconds to load yesterday. I ran a P3 Plugin Performance Profiler scan and the results said that Jetpack is the culprit, taking 7 seconds to load.

    The site is christianfrey.ca. Currently all Jetpack components are “On” except for JSON API. The site uses a slightly modified Twenty Eleven theme (css mods only) plus the following plugins: Akismet, CommentLuv, Hyper Cache, Twenty Eleven Theme Extensions, P3, Jetpack, WordPress SEO (Yoast), and Yet Another Related Posts Plugin.

    I’m considering turning off Yoast SEO and YARP as they take one second each to load… but why the Jetpack run time? Anything I can do about it?
