The recent JetPack update broke my website.

After I updated JP, I logged into my WP.org admin only to find a message that JP was “unable to find my stats.” So, I went into the plugin page to make sure it was still connected to WP.com, which it was.

Everything in admin was working but I than received an email from a reader saying that my site was not showing up and that it was broken.

So, I went into my public_html and moved the jetpack out of the plugins folder and my site immediately started working again. I proceeded to delete JP completely as it was obviously causing the issue.

I am now afraid to download JP again, as this seems to be a bug as many others are complaining of this recent issue.

Now, other posters have said JP is not responding to the problem, which is totally unacceptable considering they almsot handcuff users into using the plugin in the first place.

I just hope my warning will let other JP users know NOT to upgrade until this is solved.

Also, would love to know when the JP plugin is working again as I have gotten so used to it by now.
