• I run 9 WordPress blogs. I saw a notice that there was an update available for the JetPack to version 1.8.1. All 9 blogs said the update was successful. However, when I tried to go to the dashboard, after the update I got a server error page on only one of the blogs. The other 8 blogs appear to fine.

I went into the file system and deleted the jetpack folder from within the folder wp-content/plugins. I could once again bring up the administration pages for the blog site. So I tried re-installing JetPack 1.8.1 from the plugins page. The install said that everything worked successfully. However, any attempt to bring up an administration page resulted in a server error. So I deleted the JetPack folder again. I can now get to the administration pages.

In the past when I have tried to diagnose plugin problems I was never able to find anything that indicated what that actual problem was. Therefore my only option was to delete the plugin from the file system. I would be interested in knowing if anyone knows of a log file or something that I can look at that would help diagnose what is the actual cause of the failure.
