[Plugin: Jetpack by WordPress.com] Jetpack Subscriptions and Private Posts

Hi,
How does the subscriptions feature in Jetpack handle private posts? Will it only email users who have the read_private_posts capability?
I tried to find this information in the FAQ and forum but couldn’t see it.
