• I’m using the Boilerplate theme, and although wp_footer is present in the theme and other plugins (SEO Platinum) fire correctly, JetPack nor WP Stats fail to deploy. I can see in the code that the call to the JS file never gets output onto the page.

So something is clearly wrong with this theme’s wp_footer function. It’s not getting messed with in the function.php or anything….

My question is: what can cause this, how should I go about debugging?

    Thanks!

  • I have had a look at most of the over lay SEO type programs, had a go at some and I fail to ever get them to work correctly.
For me, I like the simple life WordPress with a few SEO (Search Engine Optimization) plugings good content, few but relivent ads and good looks, that is it, the Net, Google and all the rest will do most of the job for you.

@ amuro73: Did you find the solution?

A quick guess might be that WP changed the execution order of some of their hooks which caused my Boilerplate Theme to load JS files in the wrong order: jQuery Plug-ins and Site-specific JS were loading before jQuery itself…

This has been repaired in the latest upgrade (3.4.2) which is making its way through the review process as I type this.

If this doesn’t fix the issue, please let me know, I’ll see if I can lend a couple eye balls!

    Cheers,
    Atg
