I had Jetpack and stats on my blog working just fine for 4+ years or so. Two weeks ago I installed WP into a subdirectory and connected the Jetpack plugin from that install. Today I noticed that the stats at wordpress.com were showing for the subdirectory, not my main blog. I’ve tried uninstalling the second plugin and disconnecting/reconnecting my main blog Jetpack plugin but now I am just getting an error that says “site_inaccessible” and wordpress.com doesn’t show any stats. I’m certain this is a simple fix somewhere, perhaps updating a blog id, but I don’t know where to make any changes. Any help you could provide would be welcome!

Could you post your site URL here, so I can have a look?

    Thanks!

Something seems to block WordPress.com from accessing and communicating with your site via the XML-RPC file.

If you use a security plugin to block access to the file, you’ll need to configure it to allow incoming and outgoing connections to /xmlrpc.php.

If you do not use such plugin, you’ll want to contact your hosting provider and ask them if they currently block access to your site’s XML-RPC file.

    I hope this helps.

Jeremy, I tested the access to the xmlrpc.php and everything seemed fine. I get back the one line of code “XML-RPC server accepts POST requests only.”

My host isn’t blocking access to this file. I don’t have any security plugins, I haven’t updated any plugins recently either.

Everything was working fine until I installed the second Jetpack plugin for the subdirectory install. I’ve uninstalled that plugin but now my wordpress.com account doesn’t list anything under “my sites”.

This really seems to be an authentication issue between my blog, jetpack, and wordpress.com. Here’s additional details from the debug:

    Thanks for the extra details.

Looking at your site’s connection again, it seems to be working now. You’ve managed to connect your site to your WordPress.com a couple of days ago.

I can also see all your stats on WordPress.com:
    https://wordpress.com/my-stats/?unit=1&blog=18470099

Do you still experience issues on your end?
