Pushed the upgrade from Jetpack 1.7 to 1.8 this morning and the content of all blog posts disappeared from my home page. The “read more” links were still there, and clicking those showed the blog posts were still there. The home page was showing the title, featured image, and read more link, but no longer an excerpt.

Reverted the database and went back to Jetpack 1.7 for now. Using ClearLine theme.

I’m not able to reproduce this error; are you using any plugins other than Jetpack? What version of Clear Line are you using?

Clear Line 1.08 is the version. And of course I’m using other plugins ??

I can do the “disable all other plugins” dance and will. I’m suspecting something with CSS since the same excerpt spacing was still present on the home page, but the text was no longer visible. Will investigate and report after site traffic declines this evening.

OK, I did the disable-the-plugins dance. Updated from Jetpack 1.07 to 1.08. All fine. Re-enabled each plugin one by one, until all that were active before the update were active. No problem, site works fine. Not sure what happened on the first update, but this second time around seemed to complete without incident. I have the same lack of stats noted in another thread, but I wanted to get my results up here so folks wouldn’t be worried about what I experienced on my first go.

Thanks, tsalzer. That’s a strange one; I’ll keep an eye out for it happening again.
