[Plugin: iThemes Security] Login successful but 404 once browsing admin

  • Hi All – this is definitely IP related:

    User A – with IP (1) can login and use the admin panel with no issue.
    User B – with IP (2) can login and use the admin panel with no issue.
    User B + User C – with work IP (3) can login BUT once in the CMS will get a 404 if they go to a new page, new post or existing content… In other words they can login but they cannot use the admin panel at all.

    I have followed the steps from https://ithemes.com/security/fixing-ithemes-security-lockouts/ and I have found IP (3) in cPanel – table xxxxxx_itsec_lockouts . I have deleted that record with that IP address. This has not solved my issue.

    I have then installed plugin [iThemes Sync], made sure that “Away Mode” was not enabled. I have looked for the IP (3) in the lockout list and did not find it there.

    Also the IP (3) is on the “Lockout White List” from [Plugin: iThemes Security] – global settings…
