If you try to send a message or sign up for the Mailchimp form, you’ll see a 503 error appear in the web developer’s console of your browser. If “Coming Soon” mode is activated instead of “Maintenance Mode,” this error does not appear.

As a quick test, I copied this plugin to one of my test servers and set up a real quick coming soon page with a contact form. With Maintenance Mode on, I see the 503 error just like on the CCS site, so it’s pretty clear that this is a bug in the plugin and is not related to my WordPress site.

When I sent an urgent message to customer service to resolve this, they told me I need an SMTP plugin. Clearly that is not the cause of my issue.

I think they will need to release an update to the plugin to fix what’s going on. With Maintenance Mode turned on, the site is supposed to return a 503 error (which means a site is temporarily down) to search engines when they try to access a page. But it appears that it’s also returning the 503 error when a form is submitted.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi @mahc,

This is a server issue not a plugin issue so if you have any other query let me know.

    Thanks!

This is indeed a plugin issue. Customer service told me they are working on the problem and the issue will be resolved with the next update of the plugin.
