I have installed the plugin, and the exit intent pop up looks great…however, none of the input is making it through to the Mailchimp database, which means its useless to me for now. I do have Mailchimp integrated on my newsletter, so I know that Mailchimp itself is working for me. Any advice?

  • 1. No, the drop-downs don’t appear after I paste in the code. They are always there.
    2. The entire time there are no valid entries in the drop-downs.
    3. The MailChimp code is:

<!– Begin MailChimp Signup Form –>
    <link href=”//cdn-images.mailchimp.com/embedcode/classic-081711.css” rel=”stylesheet” type=”text/css”>

We recommend moving this block and the preceding CSS link to the HEAD of your HTML file. */

It seems like there is a javascript error on your settings page. It is likely caused by another plugin. If you could, I recommend disabling the other plugins and see if that fixes the issue.

I have disabled all of my plugins, and I’m still not seeing anything in the drop-downs for the Name and Email fields.

If it is ok with you, it will be easier to figure out the issue if I can take a look myself. Could you please send us your WordPress admin login to [email protected]?

Yes, I just sent you an email with my login info. Thanks!

    Hi,

i am having same problem here. Had follow the tutorial and still can’t received any email on my test email. Please help.

    Hi Steven,

What is the URL for a page where the popup is enabled? I can take a look and offer possible solutions.

    Hi, the url is https://pugslover.com

The popup is working correctly. MailChimp uses double opt-in, so you will need to click on the confirmation link before the email is added to the list

but i didn’t receive any confirmation email from mailchimp, i tried with many emails but still can’t receive.

That is something you need to contact MailChimp about. The sign up is successful and MailChimp takes over from that point onward. ??

ok will try contact mailchimp. thanks.

I spent 3 hours going thru jacyln’s wordpress site and I have been putting together wordpress site’s for people for YEARS and I don’t see a single problem in the way that she has the plugin installed.

What the problem I think here is a mediocre tutorial that you provide which is outdated to the way that MailChimp is today. The mailchimp embed code is no longer in the bottom right on the form creation page when you create the thank you form.

The problem also lies with MailChimp for creating an unuserfriendly design on their website which really in my opinion makes no sense at all.

From what I see is once the embed code get’s placed into the box it’s supposed to activate the spaces below but it doesn’t. I tried different variations from the code that mailchimp provides and I can’t get it to work. When try clicking the down arrow to open up the dropdown I can see at the bottom where Chrome wants to open up another box but it quickly closes so there’s something going on. I’ve tried it in different browsers, Internet Explorer is blank too.

I, too, am having issues with Mailchimp and am curious if there are any solutions? My issue is that when someone starts to register their name and email in the popup it doesn’t capture the information and actually takes me to the contact page on the website. I have looked everywhere in the imbed code and on MC and cannot figure out what the issue is. Otherwise, we love it!
