I have installed the plugin, and the exit intent pop up looks great…however, none of the input is making it through to the Mailchimp database, which means its useless to me for now. I do have Mailchimp integrated on my newsletter, so I know that Mailchimp itself is working for me. Any advice?

I tried uninstalling, and reinstalling figuring that would give me a clean slate…upon reinstall the forms still had my original content. I’m using WP 3.7.1, and tried isolating it to its own page rather than triggering every time any page is closed.

    Hi Matt,

There are a couple things you can check:
    1. Are the ‘Name Field’ and ‘Email Field’ configured under PopupAlly -> Style Settings -> Integration settings? For MailChimp, the mapping should probably be ‘Name Field’ => ‘FNAME’ and ‘Email Field’ => ‘EMAIL’ (for more details, see the tutorial page https://ambitionally.com/popupally/tutorials/)
    2. MailChimp usually needs double opt-in, which means the visitor will get an email asking for confirmation after signing up through the popup. The contact will only show up on the MailChimp list after clicking on the confirmation link in the email. Could you check whether you received the first confirmation email after clicking the subscribe button?

If neither of these applies, could you please send me the link where you have the popup enabled? I can take a look and help you resolve the issue.

    Robin,

I think the problem has to do with the first option. When I go under Integration Settings and paste the MailChimp code in, the drop down boxes for Name Field and Email Field only pop up into a tiny sliver of a blue bar when clicked on.

I have re-enabled it for all pages on my site momentarily. https://www.hellfireplay.com

    Hi Matt,

That means the integration code you pasted in is not being parsed properly. We have not seen this problem before, so I appreciate your patience in helping us resolve it.

If you wouldn’t mind, could you please try a few things:
    1. When you paste in the sign-up code, could you open ‘Developer Mode’ (in Chrome or Firefox), and see if there is any Javascript errors? If there is, could you please send us the error?
    2. Could you please send us the MailChimp sign up code? Maybe it is not well-formed.
    3. Could you try editing the style settings using a different browser? As it is a Javascript issue, a different browser could help.

Feel free to email us at [email protected] if that is more convenient for you.

Thank you SO much for your help and hard work!

I had the same issue, even with the latest version ??

    Hi there,

Could you please elaborate a bit on the issue you are seeing? In particular, when you follow the instructions on the tutorial page
    https://ambitionally.com/popupally/tutorials/#configure-style-integration

Do you see the drop down for ‘Name Field’ and ‘Email Field’ appear?

I am having the same issue with the latest version of PopupAlly – The popup displays nicely on my website, but none of my test emails are making it to my list in MailChimp. Also, after I enter an email in the popup, it takes me back to the page that I was originally on instead of the thank you page that I designated with MailChimp and the advanced functionality in the Style Settings.

On the Style Settings, there is nothing appearing on the drop-downs for Name field and Email field.

Thanks for your help in advance!

It seems like you are probably not copying the right code from MailChimp. Please take a look at the tutorial for the steps to get the right code. ??
    https://ambitionally.com/popupally/tutorials/mailchimp/

Hi Robin, I followed those exact steps in the tutorial – I copied and pasted the code on the bottom right of the page for classic forms on the embedded forms page in MailChimp. I am still not seeing anything on the drop-downs for Name field and Email field.

The other possibility is that you are using an old version of WordPress. If that is the case, upgrading to the latest version (3.9.2) should fix the issue. Always backup your site first before making updates. ??

I upgraded to version 3.9.2 of WordPress, but it still didn’t fix the issue. I’m still not seeing anything in the drop-downs for the Name and Email fields.

    Very strange…

A few follow up questions to narrow down the issue:
    1. Do the dropdowns appear after you paste in the code? The dropdowns should be hidden when there is no opt-in code.
    2. If so, there is no valid entries in the dropdowns?
    3. Could you please post the MailChimp code?
