Plugin isn't working. But I need one of its features

Is there anything else out there? That lets you save media that uses an external link?
I tried using this feature, and it saves. The URL
shows correctly in the “File Url” section in the edit mode of the media file.But when i try to add the media into a post, the src is empty.
