• Hey, every time I run PHP Compatibility checker it returns the same thing under every plugin.

    Unknown:
‘The plugin/theme was skipped as it was too large to scan before the server killed the process.’

Any help with this and how I could get this up and running would be much appreciated.

    Thanks

    Hi @rdxwebdev,

This could be caused by a really short PHP execution timeout. Some plugins can take up to a minute to scan, so if the timeout is less than that it will cause plugins to get skipped.

For all of your plugins to get skipped the timeout must be really small. Some of the smaller plugins get scanned in seconds.

How long does the scan take?

    Hi Jason,

I have the same problem on Windows server :
    In the log :
PHP Fatal error: Uncaught exception ‘PHP_CodeSniffer_Exception’ with message ‘Source file D:dalzonsiteswebwp-contentpluginsnewsletter/ does not exist’ in D:\dalzon\sites\web\wp-content\plugins\php-compatibility-checker\vendor\squizlabs\php_codesniffer\CodeSniffer.php:1723

I have seen issues with your plugin with that error but I have not been able to find a solution so far.

    Best.

    Hey @octaImage,

The scan is taking at least 20 minutes! Is there any way I can fix this?

Thanks for getting back to me

I have the same issue, I’m also running on a Windows server and my scan probably takes more than 20 minutes.

I am seeing the same error in the logs as @cousinhub

    Hi @octaImage,

    Why don’t we have answer?
Your plugin is just not usable on windows

Can you try and tell us what you think.

@cousinhub Sorry, I don’t have easy access to a Windows machine. It looks like there’s a solution here though:

If you do find a good solution, please consider contributing to the project:

    Thanks!
