I have installed this plugin several days ago, my developer has done every possible checking and troubleshooting to make it work, I have contacted my hosting support they have checked everything and confirmed my hosting is well ready for any auto updating crons and plugins ..

I have read as well your possible troubleshooting at your site an I checked all but still even force update is not doing anything.

I do not have any security plugin at the moment installed, so please advice whether there should be any particular conflict or any specific server configurations required so I update my hosting provider with your points ..

    Please advice
    thanks

    Hi Firas,

To enable auto updates you need to turn it on in General tab in Automatic Updates section. Change it from Default to On. Please also make sure you have set Enable core / plugin / theme updates in respective sections.

If you have done already, do you see any warning messages in Advanced tab above Force updates option? If so, your hosting one click WP installer is disabled updates in your wp-config.php folder

Or do you see any errors in console? or server error log file?
Did you try disabling other plugins?

Are available updates shown in dashboard? can you do update manually?

Sorry, It is lots of question rather than answer, but our plugin is working fine at our end and for other users as well. So it should be something with your settings.

    Hi Ventak,

    thanks for your reply,

please note I have contacted the hosting and they assured their server is fully compatible with your plugin or similar plugins, and they are saying the truth cause my other websites on the same server are being updating regularly.

All the said options inside your plugins are set to auto update ON, and there are no error logs or messages above the force auto update.

Manually everything can be updated and I did a test in prior for that for the theme, wordpress ans some plugins.

Available updates are showing in the dashboard (10) so far pending.

and the below is the test result for my site using another plugin called (Background Update Test):
    ******************
    Background Update Tester
Automatic background updates require a number of conditions to be met.
PASS: Your WordPress install can communicate with www.remarpro.com securely.
PASS: No version control systems were detected.
PASS: Your installation of WordPress doesn’t require FTP credentials to perform updates.
PASS: All of your WordPress files are writable.
This site is able to apply these updates automatically. Cool!

    ************************

so there is the issue? I need to solve this issue asap it took long time by now with no updates cause I want to make it auto update and not by manual update everything.

    please advice

    thanks

    Hi Firas,

Would you mind sending your site WP login credentials to [email protected]? So that I can take a look?

For some unknown reasons I didn’t receive your email yet. Could you please check the spell?

I have copied the email from your reply message and used it, can you confirm again whether you found an email from my wordpress or not yet?

I got email and I guess your domain starts with babylon
There has been 23 cron event scheduled and many run hourly. I’m not sure which plugin altered the default behaviour of running wp_version_check every 12 hours to hourly recurrence.

I have fixed those things. It still (force updates) didn’t work. I suppose its because of large no. of cron jobs in queue. I hope it will be fine in few hours.

You can only delete pending cron jobs from database. If the problem persist, could you please send apache error log file? I can be accessed from your hosting account and provider can send it to you.

    Hi Firas,

Sorry there is no clue (error, warning) in the logs. I’m afraid I couldn’t help with your setup
