plugin is not filtering down current results

this plugin is a great high-quality one but i think it’s not working the way it should behave .
for example a user is in men shoes category and just want’s to filter the men shoes with “Nike” brand . the plugin should filter “Nike” between current products(men shoes) but it ignores men shoes category and filters ALL products with brand “Nike” in ALL of the shop .
i think the purpose of a product filter is to filter down current results .
