• All in One SEO Pack is the most over-rated plugin in history. Really. It doesn’t build internal links, doesn’t offer access to the .htaccess or robots.txt files, doesn’t help with web silo architecture, doesn’t do a lot of what’s needed in SEO. Really all it does with any significance is to help with your meta titles and descriptions.

I’d recommend SEO Ultimate over All In One SEO any day of the week. And no, I don’t get any incentives for saying so, I’m just amazed so many people blindly install AIOSEO without realizing how anemic it really is. Another alternative is Joost de Vak’s WordPress SEO…but AIOSEO? Over-rated.

  • I also discovered that most blog which are ranking higher in Search Engines, example Hongkiat etc are using AIOSEO plugin, even it doesn’t give so much of feature.
I used Yoast and AIOSEO, Yoast indexes the posts quite faster than AIOSEO though.

Oh there are a LOT of blogs using AIOSEO – it’s better than nothing – but it’s entirely over-rated.

Yoast’s is a great one to use, too – there are a lot of good ones to choose from. There are too many technical aspects to SEO IMHO to be satisfied with an anemic, hyped-up plugin that it surprises me so many people suggest AIOSEO anymore.

For instance, canonical URLs, internal linking, robots and htaccess files modifications, head tag modifications, 404 error monitoring, etc.

All these functions can be monitored by SEO Ultimate, however.

Why buy a Ford when you can get a Rolls Royce for the same price?
