I too am having this issue. I can access the registration page just fine at:
    https://mydomain.com/register

    However, this returns a 404:
    https://mydomain.com/register/accept-invitation/joe%40hotmail.com

It’s like wordpress is looking for the subpage /accept-invitation/ any reason why Invite Anyone uses a slug instead of just /q=accept-invitation&email=joe%40hotmail.com ? It seems like this is conflicting with wordpress’ page permalinks.

After digging deeper it appears that Invite Anyone requires the Buddypress Registration Page to be set in NETWORK ADMIN>BUDDYPRESS>PAGES making it incompatible with any plugins that override that system, i.e. many of the membership plugins out there.

For example, I’m using Membership Premium 2.1.2 to manage my subscriptions, user access, etc. Membership requires you to disable the WordPress registration and use its own registration pages (which, coincidentally I’ve placed on the slug /register).

Is there any way to modify Invite Anyone to use the page slug instead of the BP_REGISTER_SLUG for email invites? Its a damn fine plugin and I’d really love to use it.

    Thanks

    P

Are you using a membership or user access plugin by chance?
