[Plugin: IntenseDebate Comments] This Plugin Doesn’t Work

  • After spending considerable time and effort with this plugin I have determined that the plugin has to far to many bugs at this stage to use it in a blog with high user traffic.

    The IntenseDebate system will fail often. Many of my users complained that their comments were not posted in real time (we dont moderate comments). Several comments never showed up at all. Many of the users thinking they made an error duplicated their comments.

    I attempted to use the IntenseDebate support forum, which is filled with similair and unresolved bugs.

    Be prepared for lots of user complaints if you wish to use this plugin.

  • Thanks for sharing. I checked the other comments, and 10 out of 10 (including above comment) so far are all negative.

    I begin to wonder: What are www.remarpro.com’s criteria in considering a plugin to be flagged for inclusion in the Featured Plugins page?

    romycc, you’ll find that IntenseDebate is made by Automattic, the very same people who run this here website and blogging platform project.

    It’s a shame they felt compelled to release a malfunctioning product before it was ready.
