[Plugin: Instapress] Tagged images sorting

    I would like to create a slideshow pointing to tagged pictures, in reverse order (i.e. from the newest to the oldest), but it appears to be doing the opposite. I am using a shortcode like this one:
    [instapress tag=”hashtag” piccount=”10″ size=”100″]

    The strange thing is that if I use a shortcode like the following:
    [instapress userid=”UserID” piccount=”10″ size=”100″]
    …the picture sorting is correct

    Am I missing something here?

    Hi and thanks for the prompt reply.

    Here is the full shortcode I’m using:

    [instapress userid=”” tag=”minimo” piccount=”20″ size=”100″]

    And here is the result:

    All neat and clean. Unfortunately, the first picture in the upper left corner is the oldest, not the newest…

    Hi,
    I just double checked it by using another application (https://ink361.com/#/photos/tag/minimo) and the order is the same as in Instapress.
    The reason for that order is, that Instagram’s API always sorts the images by the time/date the hashtag was added, no matter whether it’s the image’s title or a comment. And you just added a comment using your hashtag to the image that is un the left top.

    Hm. Not really… Apparently the API responds in a random fashion (and that was what I feared), but I get your point.

    Took another look, spoke with the instagramer and… Sorry, my bad, now I got it.
    You were right, the order depends on when the tag was added, non when the picture was published.
