• Hello, every one. I installed wordpress on my localhost for some testing work. And today I want to install some plugins. But it keeps asking me for the FTP credentials, though I think the permission settings on my folders are right. Here are my settings:

    1. Apache run as daemon:developer
    2. Site folder(root) permission: drwxrwsr– root:developer
    3. All folders(including wp-content): drwxrwxr-x root:developer
    4. All files(including .htaccess and wp-config.php): -rw-rw-r– root:developer

I can upload media files but can’t install themes and plugins. Now that apache(httpd) has permissions to write under wp-content, why it still asks for my FTP credentials?
