[Plugin: Insert Callout] Great concept!

  • Per Lambert’s request for input:

    I definitely like the following two suggestions that you make on your site:
    – Currently, the plugin supports only one callout per page. Change this to support multiple callouts.
    – Make it easier to pick styles. Maybe some sort of gallery on the settings page so you can pick a style for your callouts rather than having to enter CSS directly.

    I would also add support for multiple styles. Maybe I want one style for a box that says “See also …” and another style for a box that says “Glossary of key words”.

    Thanks, gthiruva – I got the first one done in 1.0.3.

    Per your suggestion for multiple styles, would you see this as a modifier on the callout? Maybe a syntax like this?

    [callout style=SeeAlso title=My Callout]….

    I’d have to figure out how to manage multiple styles in settings, but there’s got to be a decent way to do this.

    Yeah, that sounds like a good implementation. Just installed 1.0.3 – haven’t tried out the new multi-callout feature yet
