‘Timeline Express’ has worked flawlessly for me until trying to update to WordPress 4.5 – Nice Plugin BTW!

The site in question is here: https://www.all-statecredit.com/

The Theme used in its design is Divi by Elegant Themes. As you can see; the Website also uses SSL and is Hosted with Network Solutions.

However, no matter how I deliver the WordPress 4.5 update (Auto or Manually) the entire website (Excluding the homepage for some odd reason) breaks, and all other pages deliver me or directs me to the 404 page after the upgrade to WP 4.5

Only deactivating the ‘Timeline Express’ plugin does the website begin working normally with WP 4.5

    Other plugins installed are:
    Akismet
All In One Schema.org Rich Snippets
All In One SEO Pack Pro
    Child Theme Configurator
    Child Theme Configurator PRO
    Chrome Admin Menu Fix
    Duplicate Post
    Elegant Themes Updater
    Google Analytics Dashboard for WP
    Gravity Forms
    Gravity Forms No CAPTCHA reCAPTCHA
    Hello Dolly
    iThemes Security Pro
    iThemes Sync
    Map List Pro
    Postman SMTP
    Responsive Lightbox
    Snazzy Maps
    WP Job Manager

I don’t have the premium version so I will understand that I will not receive much support, but I thought you should know anyway.

For now, I’ve reverted back to WP 4.4.2 – I’m hopeful that your ‘Timeline Express’ plugin will at some point be updated, or perhaps it is something inherently wrong with WP 4.5 – In either case; I’ll wait a while before attempting to update.

  • I’m having the same problems. WP 4.5.1 Enfold Theme.
    Is there an answer?
Gravity Forms v Timeline Express. After deactivating all plugins the only conflict Gravity Forms has is with Timeline Express. When Timeline Express and Gravity Forms are active together with no other plugins I get 404 errors on all pages apart from the home page.

    Please advice asap.
    Regards

I am working on a solution – I don’t know what the conflict could be, as I have not encountered the issue. I am actively seeking out a solution.

    Thank you,

I have just installed both timeline express and gravity forms, and am displaying them both on a page successfully without any issues.

No php errors or warnings on the page, and no JavaScript errors displaying either.

Can you please give me additional information about your form setup, what theme you are using etc. Without these details I can only assume what your setup looks like.

Please see the screenshot of the test environment I setup, with both plugins working properly:

    Hi there
I’ve for some reason not received any follow up post!!
Thanks for getting back to me on your own support section.
I’ll be downloading the new version with the updates but what about the flushing rewrite rules, which apparently, according to WordPress, should be avoided?

    Regards

Chris – I have now responded to you on two separate sites, in 4 separate forums and via email.

I cannot keep responding to you in other peoples forum posts. If you are having issues you really need to contact me directly. There are multiple ways to do so.

So please, contact me directly as we can’t keep playing tag here in the forums and on my site.

    Thank you,
    Evan

I discovered today that if I disable the Web API access in Gravity Forms, then the issue I was experiencing is resolved. That may be where the conflict resides. I haven’t had a chance to look into it any further. Just hoping this information will help someone.

That certainly helps to narrow down the root cause. I was told by Chris above – that the rewrite rules flush was what was causing the issue – which should now be resolved in version 1.2 and later.

Have you updated to the latest release – and still encountering the issue?

I can take a look – since I am a license holder of gravity forms – to see if I can reproduce the issue.

    Thanks,
    Evan

Evan, you mentioned Avada earlier in this post.

I am experiencing same issue with Avada – when theme is switched to twenty sixteen – timeline express works. I do like the plugin.

Any insight on how to correct the issue with Avada.

I am using Avada 3.8.4, Timeline Express 1.2.8.4 and wordpress 4.5.3

    my site is grossepointartcenter.org/Aboutus/history/

    Any help much appreciated.
