Hello all and to the Plugin Author,

It is good to see that the Q2W3 Inc Manager plugin received an update, because it has been a few years. In fact, this got me a little cautious, since here and there you can read about incidents concerning popular plugins being abused by other entities (such as through a buy-out, for instance) to insert malicious code with the update). At the same time I am not saying that this is happening here).

In addition, I have two suggestions for improvement – in fact, one would be a required fix:

    1) I wonder if it is possible to up the amount of accepted code an include can hold. Simply put: When attempting to publish too much code in an include, Q2W3 Inc Manager will not process it. Nothing breaks, but the include remains untouched (reverts to the “before the save” state). I guess that means that somewhere there is a character- or code- limit cap.

    2) This would be nice to have: When creating many includes it is easy to loose oversight. It would be great if groups could be created to be able to organise the different includes accordingly.

Thanks again for the plugin. So far I didn’t manage to find another plugin in the WP repository that offers the same ease of use and functionality that Q2W3 has to offer.

    All the best!

    Hello!
Good to see the plugin is still in use!
During carantine I’ve found time to update it.

I have plans to rewrite plugin (same parts are very outdated). Your feature requests i’ll take in concern!

I wonder if it is possible to up the amount of accepted code an include can hold.

In fact there is no restrictions on include size. So it maight be a bug or server limitations (security restricts). Need more info.

    Hello,

Many thanks for your response. Just a general update. I got in touch with my hosting to inquire about potential server limitations. Following on they have increased the ‘wait_timeout’ and ‘interactive_timeout’ in the mysql options.

However, that did not fix the issue. Therefore, when attempting to add “too much code” to an include, it will not save it (once again, it does not break the site or anything like that).

Thanks again and all the best
