    Hello,

I was trying this plugin in order to see if i will buy the pro version, because of the multi playlists. But somehow it is not playing the mp3/ogg file…

It looks like it is starting but then nothing happens. i tried in several browsers, and on the iPhone…no show. I turned off all the plugins, checked the audio but no success.

    i put an example here:
    https://tempoteam.diebaanisvoormij.eu/regme/

Also in internet explorer it does not show right: it does not show the player at all, only the text of it…there i do not even have a play button or such. (this seems to happen in conflict with another plugin)

What could be the case here?

    Hi amoldejong,

Yeah that sounds like very weird behaviour. I think you’re right that it is likely a conflict with something else on your site. It would be very helpful if you can find out what it is and report back so I can see if there’s a work around or fix. The usual method to test for a plugin conflict is disable all your plugins except the audio player and test it again. If it works, then yes it was a plugin conflict. To find out which plugin you need to enable the other plugins one by one until the bug shows itself again. Then let me know which plugin was the culprit and I’ll take a look.

The other thing it could be is a jQuery Conflict. Check your theme and make sure it uses the noConflict jQuery calls rather than hardcoded jQuery as I’ve seen this causing problems before with plugins that use a lot of jQuery like this audio player.

Let me know how you go.

Well i turned off all the plugins and the issue still remains.

So it could be this jQuery conflict, where can i check this: “Check your theme and make sure it uses the noConflict jQuery”

i am quite a noob with code, so some help would be appreciated.

    thanks for your answer.

I created a clean WordPress install, no plugins, no themes and it gives the same problem.

So it seems not a jQuery conflict a assume?

    Could it be something else?

Ok that is helpful info…. if we’ve ruled out a plugin or theme conflict then the next thing to check is your audio files themselves. Please can you post a link to one of your tracks – both the mp3 and ogg file. Please also confirm that you have entered all *required fields when adding songs, and have used the full filepaths including the https://

    Thanks

Actually i just found the problem by accident, the file name is to long…

Because i have quite long filenames it sees it is not taking it in the player.
I shorted it to just a number just to check, en now it is playing….

do you know what is the maximum length of the file name i can use?

    glad i found it!

Cool, nicely spotted then. I’ll make a note of this limitation and try to fix it for next release. Thanks for your help in identifying it for the benefit of all users. ??

ahhh! That was it. I shortened my file names and it worked. I have been struggling with this for hours!! Thank you amoldejong.
