• I installed the latest version of HTML5 Jquery Audio Player 1.4, however not working on IE7, IE8, IE9.

The player controls show up, but the title and album cover do not. Also when play is pressed, music doesnt play.

    1. I’ve added the MIME types to the .htaccess files.
    2. Disabled all other plugins (because of the possibility of any conflicts)

It is great that the non-plugin version works across all browsers. But the wordpress plugin version does not. The demo on the wordpress version doesn’t work either on IE browsers.

This is a great plugin, but the IE versions really need to get fixed.

Here is the link to the website – https://www.willmarshmusic.com/music/

    Any help appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Mark

I’m finding that the wordpress plugin isn’t working in IE7 or IE8 – I can’t share the URL at the moment as it’s still being developed locally.

I tested the previous posters link: https://www.willmarshmusic.com/music/ and this is also broken in IE7 and IE8. This is also true of https://www.galaxybrass.com.au/audio-demo/.

They do work in IE9. I can take some screenshots if needed.

Same problem here, and I wonder whether anyone has sorted this out. I have the Pro version installed and working quite well in Firefox — https://www.nonameyet.org/ (bottom of the page) — but it does not show up in IE8 or IE9 in WinXP or Win7 on any of my machines. The only thing showing up in IE is the title of the Text Widget containing the “[hmp_player playlist='(playlist name)’]” code.

    Any suggestions?

    Many thanks!

Hi All… I think enough users have reported this now that it obviously is a problem…. please leave this with me a short while and I will look into what might be causing this cross browser issue. Thanks.

Thanks Enigma, we all thank you for building such a great plugin and ensuring/improving it.

I have learned to be sure “Compatibility View” is unchecked (off) with any version of IE in order to have the player show up, but showing up is still all it does for me unless I am in IE9.

Still working on this guys… sorry it’s taking a while, just the update to 3.5 is causing some problems and these need to be sorted out first as a high priority. Will get onto the cross browser issue after that and keep you posted here.

    Thanks for patience all.

Is there any news on the fix for the WP plugin version and IE issues? I have the free WP plugin and it and the tunes don’t show up in IE. Using the latest version of the plugin, no spaces in filenames, have both ogg and mp3 on WP 3.5.1 with the latest Atahualpa theme.
