    Dear lmilesw!

Please check out your WP Updates.
Hover Image has got an update to 1.4 including english translation.

Please keep in touch and help me, if something’s wrong in the translation!

    Thanks, Greets

The translation is great but I can’t change any settings. When I change a setting and hit save it reverts to the original settings.

    Hey!

    I’m sorry for this error.
I was a bit careless with automatic text-replacement in my code editor.
So I destroyed the whole PHP :))

But the bug fix is online.
    Please update. Should work then.

    Perfect… All is good now.

    Cool!
    Thanks for your report, though!

Could you show me an example of how to format the short code? I simply can’t get it to work. What would the short code look like to work correctly?
Keep in mind I am not a knowledgeable coder. (I can’t seem to find a single tutorial on short codes that isn’t written in overly technical language.)

    @swinginjonny
All you do is put two images between the shortcode.
    [himage]image1 image2[/himage]
The way I use it is put two images in the post, go to the html view and put [himage] before the code for the first image and [/himage] after the code for the second image.

The good theing with shortcodes is, that you don’t have to use them within the HTML View.
You can use them where ever you want. As well in the “normal view”.

So just plase [himage], then put in any image (as you done before), then place a second image and close the tag with [/himage].

As I said, you don’t have to use the HTML view to use shortcodes. Many poeple think they have to but its a “missthought”

Good point @www.csundm.de. I knew that you can use shortcodes in visual view but just prefer to use HTML view in certain cases as it just seems “easier” but my easier is not necessarily other’s easier.

Thank you SO much! I didn’t realize you could put information in between the codes. I was trying to insert the links inside the brackets. It works like a charm! Fantastic plugin!

    You’r welcome though!
But if you’d read the description you would have realized the functionality earlier ??

And don’t forget to rate the plugin ??

I DID read the description…probably 15 times. It was not clear to me as someone who doesn’t understand the syntax of short codes. An example of a correctly formatted entry would make things much clearer. Thank you again for the help, and I will definitely rate it highly.

This is a quote from the description:

Simply use the shortcode [himage] [/himage] and place two images inside.

Now, when you know the syntax could you rephrase the sentence?
If would update the description so that other people that don’t know the syntax have less problems with Hover Image?

This would help, thanks a lot!!
