  • I am also getting this on Dreamhost.

Your server is running PHP version 5.2.17 and MySQL version 5.1.52 which will be great for WordPress 3.2 onward.

I am not going through with the update.

People – is there some problem with basic maths today? Last time I checked, 17 was a bigger number than 4. Therefore 5.2.17 is later than 5.2.4 and you can upgrade.

ohhhhhhh it’s not a decimal. Got it. Wow. Long day.

No, need for insults. $2.17 is less than $2.40. Perhaps we are reading the versions wrong.

Anyhow, thanks for setting us straight.

Not intended as a direct insult. If it was perceived as such, I apologise. But have you any idea how many of these queries I’ve fielded today?

No, I don’t know how many of these questions you’ve answered today. If it is truly a common question, maybe the plugin or announcement should be amended to communicate that “5.2.17 is greater than 5.2.4.” #efficiency

    Thanks for your time, esmi.

This link should dissipate any doubts left : PHP versions
    PHP 5.2.4 is from 2007, and 5.2.17 from 2011.
That’s why the plugin says you’ve got the requirements.

A working blog after the update is another problem though :/
