    I have exactly the same query and have also tried the above css in my child theme style.css – but doesn’t change it. It seems to be a great plugin but some answers to some fairly simple questions would be appreciated. Thanks.

    I also have got this working, and very good it is too.
    But like my colleagues, I would ask either for a way of turning off the shadow in a child theme, or for this excellent plug-in to default to having no shadow, as it looks really strange in the twenty eleven theme.
    Many thanks again for your great work,
    Steve

    You can add ‘!important’ right after the ‘none’ value.
    So the line would be:

    -webkit-box-shadow: none!important;

    I guess that’s all!

    Thank you, but where is this line?
