On one of our sites we have installed Updraftplus and we have used it in the past and looking via FTP I see Updaftplus folder in our plugins but it is not showing up in our Dashboard under Settings tab and when I look in our Plugin section it is gone. We always update when prompted to so what happened? Why is the plugin gone from our Dashboard but the folder still resides on the server?

Do we need to rename the folder on the server to something different and then go and install Updraftplus?

FYI: We have a staging site of our website and the Updraftplus plugin is there. It has not been updated yet and don’t want to update until I understand why it disappeared from our main website.

    Please advise and Thank You,
    Ruth

    Hi,

    Sorry for the delay.

It’s likely that when WordPress was updating the plugin it failed and has left behind an empty or incomplete folder.

Could you remove the folder and then install the plugin again.

    Best Wishes,

    Ashley

Update – I did rename the old Updraft folder and reinstalled the Updraft Plugin. It seemed to retain what was previously in our Updraft account. Did try to do a backup but experienced an extremely long time do do so – so long that I had to stop the backup process. I will try again on another day.
    Thank You,
    Ruth

    Hi Ruth,

    Apologies for the delay.

Are you still experiencing the issue?

If so, please could you send us a copy of the last backup log?
The contents will be too long to post here directly, but you can use an online service such as Pastebin, and post the link here.
