• Hey guys,

After I clicked on my plugins list in my wordpress dashboard today, suddenly a list with basically all of my currently activated plugins came up and said that they got de-installed due to an invalid header.

Interesting thing is: I did not do anything. This was the first visit to my dashboard in days and the first thing I did was clicking on my plugins.
I cannot re-install and activate them. They instantly get de-installed again due to the same mistake.
And: I currently have no access to my ftp as my host is changing something with their servers, so I can’t check it. Could the problem be the server? I already asked them but they are not sure and have to fix other things first.
Plugins that got de-installed are the YOAST SEO, the official MailChimp, WP Rocket and other very popular plugins. I can send you a screenshot of the list, if it helps.
Plugins still working are shariff wrapper and google analytics dashboard. I just can’t see any coherence.

I am grateful for any hint.
    Cheers,
    Laurel

That will happen if the plugin’s file is modified to alter header section, unfortunately that usually indicates code injection from malware, since it’s often injected at the top of the file (and therefore the damaged header).

Carefully follow this guide. When you’re done, you may want to implement some (if not all) of the recommended security measures.

    Hey James!

Thank you! I checked with various malware plugins and could not find anything peculiar. But one plugin came up with all the deleted plugins and sorted them into a “read/write errors” list.
Seems I have to wait until I get access to my ftp again. I hope I can find the problem.

It could certainly be a random error too, but the fact that it hit all of your plugin seems odd to me.

I suppose it could be related to whatever your hosting provider is doing behind the scenes too, you might want to reach out to them about that.

I will, thank you very much! I will post any changes or solutions here.
