Plugin has crashed my site:(

  • We have just tried to add wp-ecommerce plugin and now cannot even log into /wp-admin

    This is what I see instead.

    Fatal error: Cannot redeclare wpsc_add_meta_boxes() (previously declared in /home/saramorr/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-simple-paypal-shopping-cart/wp_shopping_cart_orders.php:37) in /home/saramorr/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-e-commerce/wpsc-admin/admin.php on line 1256

    Basically, both the plugins have one function that uses the same name. Usually people don’t need two ecommerce plugin on the same site. So if you don’t use both of them, you won’t see the issue. In the mean time we will rename the function in the next release of this plugin.

    Ok, I understand that, as I did download two different ones and presumably activated them both. Unfortunately I now cannot get into admin to deactivate one. Any advice?

    You can always try to access via FTP and go to plugins folders, and delete the plugin you dont want.
