Plugin Guidance Please

Hello,
This is my first time using a CRM. My expectation was that it would do more than store data in fields. I have four issues in particular that I find challenging:
1. First, understanding the reset configuration feature: Under – Data Types & Fields/Reset Configuration… If I push this button, what happens?
Does this mean the order of my fields will change? Does it mean the extra fields I’ve added will be deleted? This is unclear to me.
2. Second issue: Editing content.
I finally discovered how to edit the content, but when I enter a record for editing, it is not user friendly for the following reasons: 1. I cannot correct a record then advance to the next; 2. I cannot globally edit records other than to delete multiple records. (For example, If I wanted to change the status of five records, I have to individually edit each record, then return to the main list, then search again for the next record, perform the edit, and repeat the process. This is extremely time consuming and cumbersome.3. Exporting/Importing: I have found it much easier to export my data and manage it in Excel. The problem is, when I re-import the updated data, then records are appended to the CRM, not replacing/updating the records as an option. This was unexpected and immediately created duplicate records. These records cannot be merged, and each had to be individually deleted. Time consuming!
4. If/Then: I appreciate that I can add additional fields, but I cannot perform actions on the fields. For example, If Date of Birth = June, then… email me (a reminder to purchase a card).
As a new user, I’m at a loss what I should be getting out of the CRM other than my data being in WordPress. I’m inclined to use a workaround using a Calendar with Alerts and a Spreadsheet.
One of my CRM expectations is that if I enter the lead source on a record, I should be able to track the source by type, and have a visual representation of (any) of my data. Instead, I can only sort the leads (by selecting each individual type) and display that group of records. Are my expectations unrealistic? What is the CRM supposed to do besides store data in a cumbersome table in wordpress?
Have I missed key documentation or a tutorial? I’m not here to bash, I have invested a good bit of time to no avail. Can anyone help me on the value of the CRM & this plugin?

Clicking on this button will cancel the links between the form fields and the lead fields. No data should be deleted.
2. Second issue: Editing content.
Yes, at the moment the editing process is carried out, as you described. Perhaps in the future it will be possible to somehow change it.
3. Exporting/Importing:
Here, too, everything is true. It was assumed that the import or export process should complement the backup option.
