[Plugin: Gravity Forms – Placeholders add-on] Is it possible to style the placeholder text?

Is it possible to style the placeholder text?
I’m trying to use:
:-webkit-input-placeholder { font-size: 1em: margin-left:10px}but it has not effect… I’m assuming because the placeholder is actually being added by JS after the CSS but I haven’t looked…
Just trying to confirm if this method can’t be styled or if I’m doing something wrong.
