I’m still looking for clarity on getting the Directory Plugin to work for me. I need to give users the ability to edit there record. I added the Members plugin and created a role for the members. Are there specific capabilities I need to give them? Right now I only have “gravityforms_edit_forms” check and the “Edit Entry” link isn’t showing. If I check “gravityforms_directory” then I get the “Edit Entry” link but it shows on every record. Keep in mind I’m not logged in as the admin and logged in under another profile with the role of a member. I need to get this resolved to make the client happy. Can anyone clarify this?

    Thanks!
    DJ

  • vlad.vdbc,

Thanks, I tried this and it worked.

The radio button fields does not seem to update in the database. Any ideas?

    jwroberts25,

Sorry, I didn’t use radio buttons in my project, and I cannot take a look right now. Maybe the developer can shed some more light on your issue.

Thanks! Looks like that solves the problem. It’s really hard to get the developer to respond. I don’t think he’s replied on here in over 3 months now.

Now I’m trying to get one more issue resolved and I should be good.

@vlad.vdbc – I’ve implemented this fix. Thanks. It’ll be out in an update very soon (like, today).

@dj Smith – I’ve not had time to work on this plugin for months. Now I’m able to. Such is the nature of free plugins…sorry!

I understand that Zack however if someone releases something to the WordPress community they stil have a responsiblity. I think Matt and the WordPress team would agree. But if I can get this plugin to work then I will get my clients to donate to your PayPal account. But I won’t have them donate to a plugin that won’t work the way we need it to so I can satisfy my clients need. DJ

If I can get it to work I have no problem promoting what you do and suggest that others donate.

BTW – I do appreciate you providing this plugin. I just want it to work so I can move on from this project. Thanks!

    Updated plugin and rec’d.

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare kws_gf_change_entry_creator_form() (previously declared in /home/impmedia/public_html/wp-content/plugins/gravity-forms-change-entry-creator/gravity-forms-change-entry-creator.php:11) in /home/impmedia/public_html/wp-content/plugins/gravity-forms-addons/change-lead-creator.php on line 24

Crap, sorry DJ – I forgot that people had installed the new feature plugin from my site already.

I’ve fixed the issue – please delete and re-download the plugin.

Is the Change Entry Creator plugin usable with this new update to the Directory Plugin? I uninstalled both and got the new update to work. But installed Change Entry Creator and got an error again. DJ

Did you make the changes regarding the = sign in the code? I noticed they were still there after I did the update. I removed them and after that the “Update Entry” link only shows for the user who is logged in. Otherwise it shows up for ever entry which allows anyone logged in to make changes to anyone’s record.

Yes, I also did the update and found that the entries are not editable anymore. I will see if removing the = sign in the code will fix.

    JW

I did remove an equals sign (=) on line 834.

Also, from my post three days ago about radio buttons. Editing an entry would work except a radio button field I had. The reason it would not update to the database was because conditional logic was turned on in GF. Does anybody know of a fix for this. (In the mean time I turned off conditional logic)

    Thank you,

    JW

@jwroberts25 is this still any issue? It seems like the update still doesn’t correct this problem. I have to go into the plugin editor and removed the equal sign for it to work again.

Yes I also removed the equal sign from the code. So far so good. The only other thing I had to do was turn off conditional logic on GF fields.
