  • Owwww!!
    That’s GREAT!!

    Thanks for this plugin!

@bradvin it can’t post tags to post type.

when i add a form, make to post under my custom post type, the tags are not working.

No pressure but I was wondering if you have an ETA for the next version. The text box will save me a lot of time.

Hello there, will the next release allow a Drop Down for a Custom Field to be populated with a taxonomy?

version 3 is here! It includes the ability to link a single line text field to a taxonomy. The user can then enter a comma seperated list of terms.

or…. there is an enhanced UI option, where the control is transformed into a “tag input” control. Screenshot

Thanks bradvin. Implemented and tested. I do have some issues on the update though. The first thing I noticed was the overlapping of the boxes.

The second was when I tried to edit a second field the page froze and I had to reload the page. I was able to edit all the settings I needed to though by reloading the page.

Also the enhanced UI doesn’t seem to be working for me but I guess this is a conflict with another plugin. I haven’t tested it yet but I might do that now. I’ll post my result here.

I checked deactivated the plugins except gravity forms, Gravity Forms + Custom Post Types and Simple Taxonomies but the enhanced UI wasn’t working.

To be clear, I am not complaining. The plugin works well enough for my purposes and I am very happy about that. Of course the advanced UI would be a bonus.

And I am using Gravity Forms 1.6

    thanks for the feedback deadhippo,

just on the overlapping issue. I do not think that is caused by my plugin. Try deactivating it and see if you get the same result please. (and let me know)

regarding the enhanced UI – it tries to include jquery and jquery UI into the page, so the conflict could be with that somehow. Do you have a URL I can test out and see by any chance?

    thanks again ??

The overlapping issue disappeared. I had forgotten that Gravity Forms had also updated recently because I had no need to do anything in the back-end. It makes sense that it wouldn’t be your plugin in anyway. Sorry.

    Here is the form:

The store name, Tags and Designer have the advanced UI switched on.

I tried deactivating all the other plugins, clearing the cache and cookies again but it is still not working. I tried Chrome, IE and Firefox (all up to date versions).

Thanks for getting back to me.

    hey deadhippo

would it be possible to create a temp login for me so I can try figure out why this is not working on your site?

    emailed you. Thanks.

    Suggestion, if viable;

Options (somewhere) to override the default admin UI add/edit forms for custom post types with a GForm; the GForm will then generate that CPT.

Not sure if this is a good idea, but ihmo then it would be a lot quicker to make the admin section tailored to the customer editor’s needs..

    Hi there,
what a great plugin you have created! One suggestion:
Allow the option to populate a dropdown by usernames/authors. Ideally it would have the option to choose the roles that should be included (i.e a checkbox for each role).

If it is something you do not want to include then maybe you could point me in the right direction and I will try to implement it myself. Though I am not a great coder really….
