[Plugin: Gravity Forms Custom Post Types] Saving a parent of different post type

I’d like to know the same thing. I have people submitting events and selecting venues from a dropdown (all currently working with this plugin). But that venue selection goes into the ether. It doesn’t change the setting so that the event is associated with its parent, the venue.

Any help is appreciated.
