I’m using the Gravity Forms + Custom Post Type plugin to allow users to create a custom post type through the front end of my site. This CPT has a ‘priority’ custom taxonomy associated with it. I followed the plugin’s instructions to set up the form to create CPTs with the priority taxonomy.

However the values being saved by Gravity Forms are the term IDs (e.g. ’10’, ’12’, ’17’). The result of this is that my CPT is created with no priority. I then tried to enable values for the drop down options and changed ’10’ to ‘low’, ’12’ to ‘medium’ and ’17’ to ‘high’. But when I save the form, the values revert back to ’10’, ’12’ and ’17’ again.

Am I doing something wrong or did I find a bug? Appreciate any ideas on how i can solve this. Thanks

    Hi blogjunkie

When you say “the values saved by grvity forms” do you mean the values in the gravity forms entry, or do you mean in the actual custom post?

The values saved in the database will be the term ID, as that is how wordpress will know which terms to associate to the custom post.

Can you give me a screenshot perhaps?

    thanks

Hi Brad, thanks for responding. After further investigation I think the bug is with GF and not your plugin. Sorry!

My directory categories will not save. On the advanced option, I select populate with taxonomy, but when I enable values, all I get are the numbers for an ID.
