    Hi Glennyboy

    Yes, you can use the “custom field” post field that comes with gravity forms to “map” a field in the form to a custom field in your post. As long as your meta boxes work off custom fields (which most do) then you should be good to go

    @bradvin,
    can you elaborate on this please:

    “As long as your meta boxes work off custom fields”

    ?

    I can’t get gravity forms to recognize existing custom fields in a custom post type. Tried creating new ones in the post and in gravity forms and that works fine, but the existing ones just won’t show.

    thanks!

    The data that is shown (and saved) in most custom meta boxes actually store their data in the post’s custom fields.

    see this as an example : https://wpshout.com/create-an-in-post-theme-options-meta-box-in-wordpress/

    If your custom meta box stores it’s data that way then the custom field’s in GF should work just fine. How did you create your meta box? What plugin did you use? Maybe that is the reason. The way your meta box could be saving the data is in an array perhaps?
