• You guys, this is amazing. It’s SO much better than the old gform_post_data filters I had in place.

Alas, I’ve had to keep a couple of those filters on one site, because it requires a few plain text inputs (comma separated) for non-hierarchical taxonomies. In this instance, we don’t want people selecting from a predetermined list; they really do need to be able to enter whatever they feel like.

If you could add that in a future version, I’d dance with joy. And delete a lot of crufty code. ??

    Hi Stephanie

thanks for the kind words ??

We are planning to build in support for user defined taxonomies when GF 1.6 comes out, cause we want to use the new column list controls.

    cheers
    Brad

    Hi Bradvin

With GF 1.6 just round the corner, I was wondering whether you’re still planning on building in support for user defined taxonomies? If so, it’ll be the best thing since sliced bread.

Thanks so much for this plugin. It takes GF an extra mile.

    Cheers
    Richard

Hi, I would also LOVE to have a Text Input to add Taxonomies…….as a comma separated list……

    Hope you make this soon!!!!!

Thanks very much for this plugin.

    Hi everyone,
i am busy developing this feature, and was wondering what would work best.
    There are a few options:

    1) have a plain text input where it’s up to the user to put in the taxonomies. The problem is there is no autocomplete so spelling mistakes will happen.

    2) Use a tag style input plugin – see this jquery plugin as an example : https://aehlke.github.com/tag-it/examples.html – so far that is the best plugin I have found. It provides autocomplete suggestions and the ability to remove taxonomies easily.

    3) The new list control that is built into Gravity forms 1.6

What do you think? Support 1 at first, or all 3???

    cheers
    Brad

    Hi, WOWWWWW!

The Second choice would be great (with the jquery plugin). Also with the option to use the Autocomplete or not.

The First choice would be good as well.

The third choice I think is good, but the other to ARE much BETTER!!!

Do you have any estimate for this new release???

    You ROCK!!!

if all goes well I am hoping to release at the end of next week – hopefully by 1 Oct!

    Oww!!

    That’s GREAT!!

Thanks very much for this amazing plugin!

Excellent news. Thanks Bradvin. I think 1 and 2 are the best. At this point, I’ll take whatever I can get, with gratitude a plenty.

If you need a beta tester, please let me know.

    Thanks
    Richard

I’m not sure what option 3 is, but 1 and 2 would be fine.
Just wanted to say thank you! ??

Hi Bradvin – Hope you don’t mind me asking, but how are things going with the new release? Just wondering as I’d prefer to wait for your add-on for a site I’m building; will be preferable to throwing a heap of hacks into functions.php

    Many thanks
    Richard
